What is gw2 endgame

My friends and I really don't play mmo's for PvP. How is the PvE? Is there stuff like the epic dungeons in Neverwinter? I have heard a rumor that there is no gear to distinguish max level people. That it is pretty trivial to get gear and be "done". Any truth to that? Satyrion Zobacz profil Zobacz posty. I have also heard the neverwinter has no good end game. I am lvl 36 cleric and il probably just play coop until lvl 60 and than stop playing because the PVP is crap i think and i heard lvl 60 PVE can be completed in 1 day and than thats it.

Sadly with the new patch coming to Guild Wars 2 there are rumors of many people going to leave the game. Anything you try to do in the game like dungeons is pretty much know it or can't join. Unless you have your own party who is willing to learn it.

That is pretty much what I think and I have played it all this time. So it pretty much falls onto you and your friends pay it or not. Cable Zobacz profil Zobacz posty. You will tend to reach 80 before completing all of the first 3, i've got 8 chars and still haven't done story on any of them: You've also got PvP though this is seperate to your PvE so can do at any level , and WvWvW mass pvp basically , you do get leveled to 80 in this mode, but you really need the lvl 80 gear.

Plus you have the side things like ascended armour or legendary weapon crafting, oh and achievments for exploring etc. Then you've got 7 other professions to try, and they all tend to have different enough playstyles to make them worth doing. You can have tiered itemization design or you can have non-tier itemization design. Examples of the tiered design is Everquest, WoW, etc. The non-tier itemization design have flagship games of Guild Wars 1 and 2.

I remember there was a guy on a Neverwinter thread that defined end game content as raids, and thus he automagically proved Neverwinter had no endgame with a tautology. Here, players have to balance offense and defense, as killing an enemy will not do much good if the team loses too many objective points in the process.

After a match players will be awarded Reward Track points to obtain various rewards such as crafting materials, minis and loot boxes containing weapons and armor. PvP can be played starting at level 2 because all players are scaled to level 80 and their gear is just as strong. PvP uses different gear that is provided for free by the game through the hero panel.

There are two game modes. Conquest: where players capture and defend nodes; and stronghold, where players assault the enemy's base while defending theirs. Conquest is considerably more popular. World versus World versus World, shortened as WvW, is a large scale player versus player game mode focusing on castle siege. Players are grouped together according to the world that they belong to and have to face against two other worlds on the same battlefield.

A world has to procure nodes to strengthen their main castle. The alliance system currently in development will considerably change how players are grouped together in this game mode.

Guild Wars 2 is a story rich game with large maps encouraging exploration. The game has come a long way since its Personal Story back in It was followed by the first season of Living World , which is not replayable as it happened live and added 1 new map. This was followed by the second season of Living World , which was redesign to be able to be replayed by future players, and added 2 new maps. Then came Heart of Thorns , the first expansion, which focuses on open-world exploration and challenges through its 4 maps such as its map-wide meta events, and added gliding and elite specializations.

Season 3 expanded Living World, with each release adding a new map, 6 total, and masteries. Path of Fire , the second expansion, added 5 new maps, mounts, and elite specializations.

Season 4 followed the design of Season 3 adding 6 new maps and mount masteries. The Icebrood Saga attempted to redesign Living World but wasn't ultimately successful throughout its 3 maps and 5 episodes and a change in direction pulled resources into the development of End of Dragons , the third expansion. Sometimes nicknamed Fashion Wars, Guild Wars 2 provides its players with hundreds of cosmetic armor and weapon skins to customise their characters.

Players can collect dozens of dyes to change the color of their armor, and use transmutation charges through the wardrobe to change the appearance of their armor and weapons. There's something for everyone. Simple skins looted from enemies while levelling, cultural armor and cultural weapons purchased in cities with gold, dungeon armor and weapons to show off players dungeoneering skills, npc armor like the Orders of Tyria skins, or even sets modelled after pirates or the Lionguard ; they are all achievable in-game.

Heritage armor even rewards players of the original Guild Wars. The gemstore also contributes to the cosmetic-based endgame while helping fund the game , providing mount and glider skins to change the appearance of a player's transportation. There are also outfits to change a character's appearance without changing their armor, and chairs to sit with style in the open world.

Furthermore, the Black Lion Trading Company periodically creates new sets of weapons that players can trade with each other. H Legendary gear, which is just as strong as G Ascended gear, lets players show off their hard-earned flashy gear, while the Legendary Armory ensures every character in the account can use that gear that can change attributes at any time, combining looks, swaggering, and convenience.

Achievements reward achievement points, which are visible to other players. Miniseasons take place between Conquest seasons and are meant to spice things up by allowing people to compete for unique titles in new gamemodes such as 2v2 and 3v3. The only permanent gamemode besides Conquest is Stronghold, which is Unranked-only. ATs are for groups of 5 who want to engage in the most competitive aspect of GW2.

These tournaments open at various changing time slots each day. Playing in ATs can net quite a lot of gold as well as qualifying points for the prestigeous monthly tournament mAT , which has its own unique rewards on an annual rotation. As long as you are getting kills or doing objectives, building participation, you should be fine. WvW can be divided into two major categories: blobbing and roaming.

This is when you either join a blob sometimes called a zerg and be one soldier in dozens or tag up as commander and lead your troops to victory. Blobbing is all about playing for objectives. If you love large scale PvP fights then this is for you. Still, you should try to pull your weight as much as possible and we recommend that you grab yourself a WvW build from metabattle before heading in. Roamers look for duels and smaller skirmishes on the map.

When it comes to objectives, they take out sentries and supply dolyaks or even go behind enemy lines to flip supply camps. Do what you enjoy most. If all you want to do is complete jumping puzzles or flip the Trading Post, you do you. Skip to content. Guild Wars 2 Endgame Explained. Fractals Fractals are the instanced 5 man endgame content of GW2 that replaced regular dungeons. The key differences: All fractals are designed for max level players. Each dungeon has its own currency and rewards while every fractal is tied to the same reward structure. Fractals scale up to level Each level is harder than the previous.

At level 20 the agony mechanic is introduced, more about this below. Some fractals have challenge modes for the truly hardcore. Agony This is a powerful debuff that quickly overwhelms those affected by it. Instabilities While agony can be rendered a nonissue through infusions, instabilities are something you actively have to play around. Strike Missions These are like mini raids. Ranked Arena This is for solo and duo players who wish to test their skill and compete for titles on the ranked ladder.
