Honors Geometry is a class designed for students that excel in mathematics! This includes 8th graders, freshmen and sophomore students. The main differences between Geometry and Honors Geometry are pacing, teaching style, and extended work in all topics.
One of the key factors of your college application is your high school transcript. This not only includes grades but also the strength of your curriculum. And most highly-selective schools will expect that you do. Most colleges will consider both your weighted and unweighted GPA. Colleges want the weighted GPA to reflect your class rank, as well as the relative rigor of your high school course load.
But they will not use this weighted GPA in comparing you with other applicants. Destiny 2. Can I skip geometry and go to Algebra 2? Hope this helps! Hi there, I took algebra two, and from my experience, it was way too easy, I e yes take algebra two in the summer and take pre-Calc, a harder class, in person. Algebra II was pretty easy, too.
I'm in the process of doing that rn. Make sure you're aware of that and contact your school counselor for details, earlier rather than later. That being said I'd go for it!! Of course, it's up to you though, because it will take work and you have to be all in.
But the huge caveat is my school is very highly regarded so each class was more difficult then the average school so to speak. Post Malone pushes the boundaries of hip-hop. Cancel reply.

Why is the choice between algebra 2 and calc in 10th? Suppose you review over the summer to try to test out of Algebra 2 and then take Precalc in 10th?
I would suggest finding out what is covered on the test by asking the Algebra 2 teacher nicely for copies of the syllabus and a final exam review packet. Find out if the class covers some trig as some honors algebra 2 courses might. I most probably will not take a pre-cal class in high school because of how accessible it is to be self-taught, and I know numerous people who skipped pre-cal and learned it over the summer, who are currently doing perfectly fine in AP Calculus AB.
Definitely considering your advice now.
