By marking a map to lvl up you wont be able to use the marking skills unless you are in a private server with a SG reset few servers or you can summon the angel very low chance….
Why is the job level of my Star Gladiator so hard to level even if its only at job lvl 1. I just started playing RO thanks for the help. I really do prefer not using the blessing skills….. How are these obtained and performed? Any help would be great, because I dearly love the class Star Gladiator, and wish to use it to its full potential.
This is what I try to do in order to get heat work. Live from the city with Water warm wind. Saved only the first time map feeling of the stars. Hatred lvl 3 to the kasa. Look for an alone kasa, activate heat of the stars, and fly kick the kasa. Is this procedure fine? Name required. Mail will not be published required.
Guides in Progress Request a Guide. Low tanking capabilities compared to trans classes. As I said above, they have limited use. Guilds might not take you seriously at first, so getting into a guild to where it matters you can emp break can be hard.
Where to level Leveling spots As a star gladiator, you should level with your heat skill. Leveling Gears Book with either 3x AK cards , which later could be used as a good emp weapon. Pasana armor: Enchant Armors with the Fire Property.
If you can afford it, go for the whole combo to get even more STR bonus. That, or you could get a marrionette doll carded with vanberk card. And finally, shoes. You will be using a lot of white potions. Safety wall: When killing things with heat, the main skill thats going to keep you alive is safety wall.
Prof: Prof can help when you SP need, in case you run out, ect. The basic outline of how killing is done using Heat. Visual Guide of the little situation above: Basic methods like that can be used for tons of situations. Farm valk sheilds for money. A valk shield with thara frog card. A cheaper alternative would be 1x Desert Wolf 2x orc skeleton. An amazing card for breaking emps. Buffs and Stats! Saving a castle map Emp Rooms Once you reset, you should be given the option to reset your feel maps.
Full adrenaline rush Full adren rush is an amazing skill for you, at all costs try to get into a WS party, that way you can get aspd very easily. Flying side kick This skill is key when it comes to breaking the emp, not only can you FSK the emp and be inside of it making it harder for people to target you , but you can dispel links if you feel the need to. Warm Wind This or cursed water, you want dark element. Heat Use it on the emp to drain the SP of others around you.
Yes and No. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Esper, my love, why do you hate me so? QQ Hatred is the only way this class is useful. In no way, shape or form is it as retardedly busted as people are making it out to be.
I'm all for opinions, but making it hard to use the one thing that makes your class actually exist seems like, well, HATRED. Comon now. To be honest, those skills could use some balancing as well! I did not become a Star Gladiator to trade my HP for power.
That is definitely a personal opinion if I ever heard one. Taekwon Mission and the Taekwon List has nothing to do with this class period. Wizard and other crappy HP classes got an HP buff that they desperately needed, and I think this class should have the same.
I have played on servers where High Jump was just as obnoxious as you made it out to be, thank you, and it's not hard to balance it to NOT be obnoxious, just like anything else in this game. I think your bad experience is clouding your judgement, but I understand the concern completely.
I don't really have much more input to say besides corrections or questions, your points are pretty well-thought. There was never any STR in hatred formula. I'm pretty sure it adds the damage AFTER the damage formula is calculated, like a hydra or a TG card would, or else my FSK wouldnt deal atleast tripple the damage on a poring thats being hated over one thats not being hated.
I wasn't talking about auto attacking with 2 weapons because it would be suicidal to remove the shield. About def buff on thana infested: Well Therefore its still bad, but atleast its not suicidal anymore. I don't think it had anything to do with the taekwon class. Unless theres something hidden in the code but take a look at the anger formula on RMS. They must have changed it recently. I was just saying our basic attack isn't gonna drop people instantly like a SinX's would. Kinda missed the point.
Oh wow youre right i never noticed this before, stars have str in its formula. And checking in the code, it still does. I never knew that stars had a difference. It probably won't be long before we start looking at more than just basic tweaks again, but I thought I'd make note of it since there'll likely be a bit of a delay before Star Gladiators get the attention they need. With that in mind, I'll still give my initial thoughts here, though of course everything is still open the discussion.
Hatred in BG: This one I'm not opposed to, although I think it would be worthwhile to make other changes to make them less reliant on Hatred and, of course, dial back Hatred a bit in the process to normalize their performance a bit. This would be something that would require a fair amount of discussion to work out though.
High Jump in WoE: I'm not really a fan of this one, personally, but I'll wait to see other opinions on it. Buff HP Pool: This would have to be done as a generic increase for extended classes, which is fine, other than the fact that Gunslingers currently deal a lot of damage and may need to be tweaked first we still need to look at them more thoroughly to determine that. So this one is basically a yes, just a delayed yes since we need to do a quick pass for Gunslingers first. In theory it may turn out that reworking another skill is more beneficial overall, but we can figure that out when the time comes.
Doing something with the kick skills seems like it'd make the most sense to me right now, to open up some more options for Star Gladiators, but again these are just my initial thoughts so nothing concrete yet.
Either way though, when we do get into working on a balancing pass for SGs, we'll balance them with their current equipment selection in mind, so a 4-slotted weapon shouldn't be necessary. So basically, just wait on it. Guess I'll mess with something else until then. I have to wonder how many of your suggestions are currently biased towards your experience dealing with a flee lord knight in PvP while you were going full damage aka weaponless.
I observed you stating you had 1 glaring weakness and that was being locked into a corner and that you also ran into the problem of not having enough hit while going weaponless. I think it's fair that you have to use a Book weapon to pierce defense, because otherwise FSK would be "overpowered". Not to mention other strengths to the class mentioned below.
On the topic of having more HP, it's already been mentioned, but Star Gladiator inflicts absurd amounts of damage due to hatred and even more so when you take into account the server's current meta, which you should. I may be wrong, but as I understand it, the server's current meta deals with stacking magic defense in order to resist freezing. This means most characters are stacking magic resist and therefore do not have the luxury of reducing Flying Side Kick to an acceptable level of damage.
In a meta that revolves around main DPS classes with the rest mostly playing a supporting role, being able to hate out and deal extreme damage to 3 out of those seems more than fine when your guild can handle the rest. Further adding onto this is another strength of Star Gladiator that hasn't been mentioned. Warm Wind. If the argument then is that a character should stack ranged resists instead of magic resist and a card in armor that gives you freeze immunity, then suddenly the difference in HP mods is nil and maybe even in favor of the Star Gladiator.
I think the only class that has had its HP mod increased is High Wizard. Again, you'd have to understand and take into account the server's current meta and also take into account other strengths of the Taekwon class that haven't been mentioned. Due to stacking magic defense, a wizard has to invest into Staff of Piercing, High Wizard Cards, and Fallen Bishop Hibrams in order to inflict their damage. Add breakfall, being nearly untargetable while running, and being able to Flying Side Kick and stack inside player's sprites into this and Star Gladiator has significantly more survivability than you've made it out to have.
This is the suggestion I'm most opposed to as I don't care for PvP, so I'll start by countering the points you've made and then adding some of my own thoughts. You've agreed that it's obnoxious. WoE was introduced somewhere around while expanded classes were not introduced until around the end of , so those shortcuts were not placed there for Taekwons but were rather a built in convenience inherent to the class.
Instead, those vantage points were for the defending guild to use as a high ground You can see this for yourself on the very oldest of WoE videos. All things that would severely hinder your usefulness or simply deny you the ability to skip a precast.
The no flinch portion of Endure is disabled in WoE so that you can be stopped when players attack you. You aren't supposed to be able to simply skip past an entire guild raining down on you without a care in the world. That sounds like imbalance to me. Neither of these are as abusive as High Jump.
You've argued that Backslide and Snap are disabled by default on a Normal server even though this is not and that that's okay, but then also argue that this isn't a normal server and things should be changed up, except in cases that inconvenience you High Jump being disabled. Even with a hard cooldown, it only takes a single High Jump to go from the entrance of a precast straight to the Emperium in castles like Fadgridh and Hohenschwangau. Not to mention the part where High Jump lets you pass through unshootable paths.
Mobility is something that is incredibly hard to balance and probably already needs to be taken a look at again when it comes to Lord Knights and Paladins. Having a class that can become nearly untargetable while running because of seemingly teleporting off screen , can entirely skip the front line and trap line of a precast, and then have the ability to also skip over terrain that doesn't allow the enemy guild to retaliate lest they further split forces seems like a quick way to make a joke out of WoE.
No need to wonder. Literally none of my ideas here are centered towards beating any sole class. Luckily for you guys I'm not vengeful enough write an entire article because I didn't wear a Phreeoni. Star Glads on average have DEX, hitting people isn't a problem outside of people using a slightly gimmicky build. No class should need their Soul Link skill to function, and you shouldn't rely on it to cover flaws in your gameplay. As a sidenote, challenging an idea because it fights specifically against a class is backwards, and honestly, doing essentially what you're accusing me of.
All of my changes aside from Union and a Book[4] are quality of life and meant to even out with other classes. Though any buff made will make me better against any class regardless, so this is pointless to even argue over.
Of course I want my class to be better. That's why I'm here. Anywho, onto the stuff that's actually important. I feel like this is all coming down to biased opinions instead of facts at this point, so I'll try to keep it simple. I can't see this actually being true, but I'll test it to be sure. Regardless, don't forget that we also normally attack people when they wear proper resists, so no it wouldn't be a straight up buff even if that were the case.
Wearing a book to get that defense pierce back is a debuff in itself that kills the move you guys are haphazardly complaining about. No matter what class you pick, you play around the meta to the best of your ability.
That's what shifts and creates meta's in the first place, besides balancing, and one ranged move isn't "abusing the meta" because it's slightly strong. Let me just be clear:. No one has the luxury to defend against the opposite of what they're prepared for. That is how RO works. That's not a sole, exclusive trait of Star Gladiator. The damage that FSK does isn't obnoxious enough to warrant as meta-breaking outside of being WoE Kihop'd , especially considering factors I already stated above in my reply to Saku.
All the high rates do it, and fairly so. I could care less. Yeah, I dunno, maybe if all the other classes got better it wouldn't be like th-oh wait. The worst feeling is being completely stuck in that stupid pose while being bombarded in a fight lmao.
Sometimes in WoE I don't even use it for those reasons. The stacking inside is annoying for both players as well, since I can't target them either. In other words, it just prolongs the fight, not my survivability. There is a lot of flawed logic in this, but for the most part it revolves around your personal idea of what the meta dictates.
You're speaking about all of these so called advantages this class has while speaking of none of them that High Wizard has, like Energy Coat, unique items like Survivor's Mant, Ice Wall which no one uses, cause they're lazy.
Note : Sniper card is really under rated here. I think it is one of the best cards for mobbing, especially with SG. For those people who tell you it's useless their opinion you best try it out for yourself first.
As mentioned I've been playing SG over 1 year and I've used sniper card. Additional Note: Only use Cornus and Bakonawa shield if you're already comfortable with your stats and if you feel like you don't die often. Feeling of the Sun - should be set in this map Odin Temple Hatred of the Sun - should target Skeggiold Blue one gives more exp, but Brown one has more annoying skill sets.
Warm Wind - Shadow level 6 and Holy level 7. Odin is a great place for beginners to test skills and get more comfortable in using SG's. It's also the best place for non trans characters to get EXP.
Blessing and Warmth of the xx is only needed for sun in Odin. The others are optional. I would recommend to place the points at Knowledge of the Sun, Moon and Stars for weight increase.
After the Mira buff turns on, be sure to use all comforts. You will get the Mira buff while fighting automatic at a random point.
It will be shown as little Soul Link icon on the right side of your screen. It lasts 1 hour and will be renewed while you are fighting. Keep on kicking around with Flying Side Kick level 7 for additional damage. As long as Warmth of the Sun is active, your aura will deal damage within 3 cells around you.
The Skill Fighting Chant Taekwon Skill will increase your damage, the more people you have in your party. A full party is a huge damage boost for SG's. Be sure that all members use spells or walk to get the maximum damage boost. Make sure the person you leech does as well move or use skills. Be sure to bring some Grape Juice in case of emergency. Skeggiold Blue - This one is the stronger of the two types.
Not very hard to kill just make sure your buffs are up. Warm Wind lvl 6. Skeggiold Black - This one is the weaker of the two types.
Easy to kill, just be careful of it's strip armor skill. Frus - When fighting this monster change shadow to holy.. It has a dark attribute attack if you wear alice and develing same time..
